Their friends had been trying to set them up for months. Nate was reluctant to meet Teresa, afraid that all the hype from their mutual friends put too much pressure on meeting the first time. But when they finally ran into each other, they stayed and talked long after all their friends had left the brewery. It didn't take long for them to realize that their friends really were right. They were meant to be.
As I've mentioned before, the Jemez Mountains are one of my favorite places in New Mexico – so I was beyond excited to go back and photograph another engagement session there. We had plans to hike Los Conchas Trail (my favorite in the area), but 10 minutes into the hike, it rained. As we took shelter under a hemlock tree, my hopes of a beautiful, dry session began to fall. Between showers, we snuck as many shots as possible along the trailhead and before we decided to head out of the mountains in search for dryer land. A little rain couldn't stop us though!
A few miles along, we came across a patch of road that looked incredible – steam rose off the wet asphalt, golden sunlight highlighted the wisps – the perfect backdrop. We pulled over and jumped out of the car in hopes of capturing the scene before it faded. Thankfully, I managed to snap this shot before the magical scene disappeared.
