Not far from Santa Fe's historic plaza sits an adorable bed and breakfast, called the Inn of the Turquoise Bear. With its rustic southwestern charm and beautiful gardens, this historic inn is the perfect place for a small romantic wedding. Ashlee + Monica planned their wedding day here so it would be just like them - fun, beautiful, and unique.
The ceremony took place at the top of one of the inn's various stone stairways, with guests gathered around for the intimate ceremony. Friends and family cheered as Ashlee and Monica made their way to the altar (preceded by their four-legged ring bearers). There, Ashlee's brother led the couple in a sand ceremony, using sands gathered from places special to each bride. After reading a poem to each other and exchanging their rings, the couple left the ceremony by stating La Marcha, a traditional New Mexican wedding dance. After a delicious barbecue dinner, toasts, and a first dance, guests danced the night away alongside the happy couple. Congratulations Ashlee + Monica!
